Service Description
Instructor: Abigail Duration: 3 hours Age: 13+ Interested in trying the wheel? Or do you need a quick refresher? In this 1-day class you will learn the fundamentals of centering, opening and pulling up walls. All clay and tools will be provided. At the end of the session you will: - Pick your favorite piece and choose your favorite glaze We will trim it and glaze it for you. In approx. 3 weeks we will contact you to pick up your piece. *Due to the nature of working with clay, we make no guarantees regarding the output of your hand-built creations. Pottery is fired to over 2000 degrees, so sometimes pieces crack or have glazing issues. Pottery is about the process, however we will do our best to care for your pieces. (Beginner skills will be taught in this class so you can have a foundation to grow. It's about the process and not the product- wheel throwing can take time to click- so be easy on yourself).

Cancellation Policy
72-hour notice is required to cancel class or workshop. No refunds after 72-hours. Only registered participants are allowed during a class, workshop or lesson. Please make sure you meet the minimum requirements for the class or workshop you sign up for, we won't allow refunds if you do not. No outside clay or glaze allowed without the approval from Portland Clay House. Clay and glazes not compatible with our studio kilns can cause costly damage and will be charged to the student. Ages 13+ (Our workshops are geared towards adults, younger participants must be able to manage the class expectations and class projects).
